GMF seminar and visit to Krsko, 17 May 2022

Seminar on radioactive waste management and local communities in Krsko, Slovenia

After more than 2 years without face to face meetings due to the covid 19 pandemic, GMF members will meet in Krsko to discuss the challenges and good practices in the governance of radioactive waste management. The meeting will be held at Krsko local council on 17th May, but there will be a social networking on 16th May evening at the Castle Rajhenburg.

The morning session will have presentations from the following speakers:

Shin Horiguchi (IAEA) Stakeholder engagement in nuclear programmes at the international level

Danijel Levičar – Gen energija

Stane Rožman – nuclear power plant Krško

Tomaž Žagar – radioactive waste management agency ARAO

Visits are organised to:

Svet energije: an interactive multimedia centre on energy and the energy industry which promotes a better understanding of the role of renewable energy sources, energy efficiency and sustainable electricity generation.

ZEL –EN: institute of development for energetics with equipped development laboratories for technological development of hydro and aero energetics, wooden biomass, biogas, geothermal energy, hydrogen technology, sustainable construction, photovoltaic, and nuclear energy.
