GMF holds annual meetings, seminars and workshops for the members and also open to anyone interested. GMF is active in several initiatives, projects and forum from European institutions. GMF chairs the Technical Working Group Engagement of the European Industrial Alliance on SMRs.

GMF is the chair of the TWG5 Engagement of the European Industrial Alliance on SMRs and a member of the Steering Committee of the European Nuclear Energy Forum (ENEF). In the past, GMF was also a member of the Transparency Centre of Knowledge (E-TRACK), the joint initiative between the Directorate General for Energy and the Joint Research Centre for the promotion of public participation in the implementation of energy policies.
