GMF holds annual meetings, seminars and workshops for the members and also open to anyone interested. GMF has also launched and participated in different European projects. GMF is active in several initiatives, projects and forum from European institutions.

GMF is a member of the Steering Committee of the European Nuclear Energy Forum (ENEF) and was also a member of the Transparency Centre of Knowledge (E-TRACK), the joint initiative between the Directorate General for Energy and the Joint Research Centre for the promotion of public participation in the implementation of energy policies.
