At the seminar latest news was provided about the nuclear and nuclear waste facilities built in Olkiluoto. The background to the virtual seminar is that KSO since 2020 has planned to visit Olkiluoto and the new nuclear and radioactive waste and Eurajoki municipality in Finland. This has not been possible because of the pandemic. Due to the turbulent situation in Europe in the spring of 2022, the board of KSO and Eurajoki municipality have once again decided to postpone the study trip/visit. Instead, the virtual seminar was conducted.Information was provided from both the municipality and the industry. TVO and Posiva. There was also an opportunity for politicians / mayors in the board of KSO and others to ask questions and have a dialogue with their Finnish counterparts. Questions about communication with inhabitants and other stakeholders where also of interest. Representatives from the Swedish Radiation Safety Authority, SSM and the Swedish NWM- company Svensk Kärnbränslehantering AB, SKB, also participated in the seminar. The network for European municipalities with nuclear facilities, GMF, was also invited. The link to watch the seminar is here.
