Mr. Szilárd Krachun, mayor of Bátaapáti, head of TETT Association in Hungary passed away on 24 May 2023. Mr. Krachun served as a mayor of Bátaapáti for almost 30 years. He was one of the founders of TETT Association and had an important role in the dialogue between the public and the Public Utility for Radioactive Waste Management Company in the implementation process of the final repository for low and intermediate level waste, which was built in Bátaapáti.

His death is a great blow not only for his family but also for the whole commune of Bátaapáti and TETT Association.
