Working groups
The European local Network of Radioactive Waste Dialogue (ENWD) was created in 2014 under the umbrella of GMF. The network is intended for municipalities or regions who already have a repository or are in advanced siting process for hosting a low level waste, intermediate level waste or high level waste repository.
The objectives of the network are to:
- exchange knowledge and experience among politicians and civil servants;
- share and disseminate good practices for promoting citizen dialogue regarding radioactive waste management;
- empower the municipalities by improving the decision-making process at local and national level.
Other topical or cross-cutting working groups might be created in the future depending on the interests of the members of GMF.
